Story
Guardian Peru is Guardian Project’s 3rd branch founded under instructor 2nd degree black belt Salvatore Sanguinetti. Located in Mancora, a small city on the coast with a population of under 15,000 residents (2020 Census), Guardian Peru provides free Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training to youth ages 6-15. According to data from the 2020 Census, 30% of the population in Mancora is under 15 years old. In a city that struggles from poverty and a lack of resources for youth development, the opportunity for youth to train Jiu-Jitsu can be life changing. Currently the Peru youth team has 15 students with more spaces open as fundraising allows. For more information and updates, follow @guardianperujj on Instagram.
Guardian Project is a 501c3 Non-Profit that provides free Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to youth at all Guardian locations.
