This project has been seven years in the making - from conception, to land purchase, design, approvals, and building - to now. The three story headquarters building has been a major undertaking, and is already serving as an economic anchor in and around the Fort Portal, Uganda community.

What is involved?

Offices for ChristAid Uganda staff - no more rent to pay
Steady and secure jobs for Uganda staff - local economic impact
Twelve market rate apartments - to generate a revenue stream to move the ministry in the direction of independence and sustainability
An event rental space - another revenue-generating resource for the ministry
An eventual rooftop restaurant - as Fort Portal grows as a tourist destination, yet another revenue-generating resource
Jobs and skills training for local people - more local economic impact
