Meet Zebia, a beautiful and brave 2-year-old Goldendoodle with a heart full of love—and a leg that needs urgent help.

Zebia came to California Doodle Rescue after her previous family, despite doing everything they could, could no longer afford the medical care she desperately needs. When she was just a puppy, Zebia broke her leg. It was surgically repaired at the time, but she continued to suffer from painful wounds and recurring sores where the metal plate was placed.

Now at 2 years old, Zebia still struggles every day. She’s in pain, and simple joys like running, playing, and walking comfortably are out of reach. The good news? The incredible team at California Doodle Rescue is ready to help! Zebia has a second chance—but we need you to make it possible.

💛 Right now, Zebia is undergoing urgent corrective surgery at Sherman Oaks Veterinary Group, where the amazing team is working to reposition her leg plate, relieve her pain, and give her the future she deserves. We are incredibly grateful they stepped in without hesitation—but this lifesaving care comes at a cost. 

The total for her surgery, post-operative care, and ongoing medical treatment is $11,500—an amount we simply can’t shoulder alone.

Help Us Save Sweet Zebia – We Need You Now More Than Ever🙏

Zebia has been through so much in her short life. After undergoing leg surgery to repair plates that were causing her pain, we thought she was finally on the road to recovery. But just days into her foster care, her pain returned — and it was clear something wasn’t right.

We rushed her back to Sherman Oaks Vet, where x-rays and evaluations revealed heartbreaking news: her leg was not healing properly, and severe infection will continue. We sought three vet expert opinions — all came back with the same painful recommendation: a full leg amputation is her only option to live a pain-free life.

This new urgent surgery comes with a $6,500 price tag — on top of the $5,000 we still haven’t raised from her first surgery. That’s $11,500 total in critical medical care. As a small rescue, this is more than we can carry alone.
