Rare Disease Day is on February 29th this year!

We are making friendship bracelets to display rare disease allies in the fight against SYNGAP1 related disorders. In addition to donations on this page, if you would like your own friendship bracelet to wear on February 29th, please contact Sara at sdriscoll@curesyngap1.org with quantity and shipment location. Bracelets are free, and Jesse and Sara will be covering shipping costs.

All donations go to SynGAP Research Fund to fund research for SYNGAP1 related disorders. SYNGAP1 is a rare genetic condition that causes insufficient SynGAP protein production. While there are less than 1,400 documented SYNGAP1 cases, there are multiple cases in our community in Richmond! Most pathogenic variants cause Syngapians to need care their entire lives. There is currently no cure for SYNGAP1 related disorders, and the only path is mitigating symptoms. With your support, we will find a cure.
