Chinatown has a plan, and we need you to help make it real.

Join us at the Welcome to Chinatown Hub for a fundraising dinner to advance our plan to build 730+ units of affordable housing in the heart of our neighborhood. Led by Welcome to Chinatown, Neighbors United Below Canal (NUBC), and Ideas of Order, our plan would also be the largest investment in Chinatown housing since the 1970s and create 87,000 square feet of green space at 125 White Street (next to Chung Pak). It does this by relocating the Manhattan Detention Center to a nearby site in Civic Center, and building housing in its place at 125 White Street.

The rising cost of living is pricing our community out of the neighborhood they built. For the families who have called Chinatown home for generations, and for a growing senior population that deserves safe and affordable housing, the stakes could not be higher. We need more housing in Chinatown, and we need it now.

This plan is absolutely achievable. We've built community support. We have elected officials behind us. We've engaged one of the country's top urban development advisors. Now we need the resources to make the plan into a reality.
