Update 8/9/2026

A few weeks ago we introduced you to Mama Adira and her three babies. Adira had unknown neurological issues going on that despite many interventions, she passed away. We did a full necropsy that revealed no cause for Adira’s illness or insight on how we could best care for her kittens.

Adira’s babies have been fighting for weeks to grow and develop as normal kittens should. This is a fight we are sad to report, the kittens and their foster are not winning. Over the weekend we said goodbye to little Marlowe and while we know his mom met him on the other side of the rainbow bridge, we cried letting him go.

We are still fighting for Theo and Willa. Theo has been struggling with similar symptoms to Marlowe but his foster is keeping close watch and we are grateful to our vet partners.

Between Adira’s initial ER vet trip, the kittens trips to the vet, and Marlowe’s vet bill while he was hospitalized things are adding up quickly and we haven’t raised more than 1%. We need your help…

Update 6/30/2026:

We did everything we possibly could for her; took her in, ran every test, and tried every intervention available. Tragically, she continued to decline, and we were left with no answers or insight into what was wrong. We now face the heartbreaking reality of saying goodbye.

Right now, our priority is making sure her babies stay healthy and strong. We urgently need help covering her medical bills, the cost of a necropsy to find out what happened, and formula for the babies. Please consider donating or sharing if you can

Our hearts are breaking right now. Adira, this sweet mama cat is incredibly sick and completely unable to stand. She can only move her eyes and wag her tail.

Her precious babies are safely on their way to an incredible bottle foster so they can get the round the clock care they need. Meanwhile, Mama is being rushed straight to the ER. We don’t know what’s wrong yet, but we know we have to give her every possible chance.

Emergency veterinary medicine is vital, but it is incredibly expensive. We refuse to give up on this sweet girl, but we need your help to fund her emergency care.
