A Night of Promise - Lighting the Way Home

At Family Promise of Greater Roanoke, we believe every family deserves a safe place to call home and every child deserves the opportunity to grow up with stability, hope, and a bright future. We provide emergency shelter, housing support, and compassionate services to families experiencing homelessness—helping them move from crisis toward sustainable independence.

Each year, we provide shelter and support to approximately 20 families—about 20 adults and 40 children. On average, families spend 51 days in our program as they work toward securing permanent housing. During that time, we walk alongside them, helping them overcome barriers, find a place to call home, and build a stronger, more stable future.

A Night of Promise brings our community together to help make that journey possible. On November 7, we’ll celebrate the power of hope with inspiring stories, delicious food, live music, and plenty of fun—including our one-of-a-kind cake auction, where tables compete for the chance to choose their dream dessert!

Every ticket, sponsorship, and contribution helps provide the shelter, support, and resources families need to take their next step toward home.

Come celebrate, have some fun, and help us Light the Way Home for families experiencing homelessness in our community.
