J Bear Coming to Forty: A Royal Celebration & Jevon Naurice Jackson Legacy Fund Launch

This year, I'm celebrating a major milestone—turning 40.

As I thought about how I wanted to mark this chapter of my life, I realized I didn't just want to throw a party. I wanted to create an experience that brought together the people I care about most while also honoring someone whose impact continues to inspire me every day: my brother, Jevon Naurice Jackson.

On July 25th, friends, family, and supporters will gather for J Bear's Coming to Forty: A Royal Celebration, an unforgettable evening inspired by the spirit, fun, and culture of one of my favorite films, Coming to America. It will be a night filled with music, laughter, great food, meaningful connections, and unforgettable memories.

But beyond the celebration, this evening serves a greater purpose.

In August of 2023, our family lost Jevon. He was a devoted husband, father of four, minister, musician, technology leader, and the first Black Assistant Dean of Technology at Grand Canyon University. He dedicated his life to serving others through faith, education, leadership, innovation, and family.

To honor his legacy, we are launching the Jevon Naurice Jackson Legacy Scholarship Fund.

The vision of this scholarship is to support young people pursuing higher education who demonstrate leadership, character, service, faith, innovation, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Priority consideration will be given to students attending Grand Canyon University and those connected to Prayer Assembly Church of God in Christ, where Jevon faithfully served for many years.

This year marks the beginning.

Our goal is to establish a strong foundation for the scholarship and continue growing it year after year so that Jevon's influence can continue creating opportunities for future generations.
