MEET OUR NEWEST GUEST: HOLLAND TOWNSHIP'S FAOUS EMU!

After more than a month of sightings, flyers, songs, memes, and an ever-growing fan club, this feathered adventurer has been caught and brought to safety at Fluffy Butt Rescue.

It took an epic three-day effort, an adventure through the woods, and the determination of some wonderful people. Huge thanks to Shannon, Christine, Brett, and everyone who shared sightings and helped make this rescue possible.

After all that excitement, our new friend settled in for a very solid nine hours of sleep. A veterinary visit is scheduled for Monday so we can learn more about his/her health and needs and sex.

NOW COMES THE BIG QUESTION: CAN FBR BE HIS/HER FOREVER HOME?

We'd love to make that happen, but we have some important considerations. Our senior alpaca Rudy's health and safety come first, emus need secure fencing and plenty of room to run, and they truly need the companionship of another emu to thrive.

Our current four-foot fencing won't cut it! We'd need to raise funds for fencing upgrades and the infrastructure necessary to create a safe, appropriate home.

WE NEED YOUR HELP.

We're hoping to raise the funds to make keeping this emu at FBR possible.

To everyone who has followed this adventure, worried about this bird, and cheered for his/her safe rescue: thank you for being part of the story.
