Reserve Your Seat for Brundibár

This spring, students from The Silver Academy, Gesher Hebrew School, and Ohev Sholom Religious School are coming together to perform the children’s opera Brundibár.

Written in 1938 by composer Hans Krása, Brundibár tells the story of two children who defeat a cruel organ grinder with the help of their friends. The opera later became a symbol of courage and resilience when it was performed by Jewish children in the Theresienstadt camp during the Holocaust.

Today, our students are bringing this powerful story to life through music, theater, and learning.
