When Family ACCESS was started 115 years ago as a day nursery for local laborers, driven by a spirit of caring and progress. Today, that original intent to create support and opportunities for underserved and disadvantaged families is alive in everything we do. Our founders' vision guides us as we work to strengthen families and nurture children for a brighter tomorrow. Here's to 115 years of making a positive impact – and to many more to come! Let's continue writing the Family ACCESS story together – a story of hope, resilience, and unity. Story
Family ACCESS has touched countless lives over the years, offering vital resources, support, and a sense of belonging to ten of thousands of families.
Incorporated in 1908 as a day nursery for local laborers, and formerly known as Newton Community Services Center, Family ACCESS was one of the first organizations in the state to focus on early education. Since then, it has provided access to quality childcare and preschool for working families, and introduced proven programs to strengthen young families.
