Our Story: Why We Do This

When a child enters foster care, they often carry more than just a small bag of belongings—they carry the weight of trauma, fear, and uncertainty. At Angels Fostering Care, we saw the heartbreaking reality: too many children were being placed into unfamiliar homes with little support and no sense of stability. Some had nothing but a plastic bag holding a few items. Others had no one to talk to about the pain they were experiencing.

That’s when we knew something had to change.

Angels Fostering Care was born out of love and lived experience—a desire to be a consistent, caring presence in the lives of foster youth. We are not a government agency. We are a community-led nonprofit, stepping in to provide what the system often cannot: emotional support, mentorship, basic necessities, and a sense of hope.

We’ve helped children feel seen on their birthdays, supported during school transitions, and safe enough to open up about their trauma. We’ve worked with foster parents, caseworkers, and volunteers to build bridges of trust around each child.

But the need continues to grow.
