Support Cheetahs in Tsavo

There are less than 6,500 cheetahs left in the wild. The vast Tsavo Ecosystem presents a unique biodiversity stronghold for one of East Africa’s last remaining cheetah populations. Unfortunately, recent intensified development, a growing human footprint, and livestock farming have placed enormous pressure on this wide-ranging, yet non-threatening, endangered wild cat.

We are non-invasively researching the population and conservation status of cheetahs in key areas, including locations where predators have been (historically and / or presently)  trapped, removed, retaliated against, and indiscriminately killed. Our conservation research is conducted in highly critical wildlife habitats and corridors, where many researchers or conservationists avoid working.

Both poaching of wildlife, and human - wildlife conflict persist, due to growing and struggling communities on the corridor’s edge. When our team is not active in the field, there is more threat to cheetahs, as community and landowner engagement comes to a pause.

Please help us reach our goal and keep our consecutive cheetah monitoring and conservation programs in place throughout the cheetahs’ expanse. Thank you!
