Story
Hi, I'm Chad Herrmann, a 27 years young, GA native! I am an avid traveler, former professional motorcycle road racer, pilot in training, Porsche driving coach and action sports fanatic! I have never been in the ring, but have always been athletic and had the desire to try my hand at boxing! My uncle was a boxer in the military and it was my father's dream to be a pro boxer until a motorcycle accident in his early twenties left his arm partially disabled.
The reason I am fighting for the Shepherd Center is because with motorcycle racing being an inherently dangerous sport, I have known several people who have been affected by traumatic spinal and brain injuries. I know how much of a struggle it is to figure out how life goes forward from the moment of that life changing event. But even more so, my best friend, Eric Pate, passed due to a traumatic head injury caused by a car wreck about three and a half years ago. Had Eric survived his incident, I know that he would have ended up at the Shepherd Center and they would have done everything within their power to rehabilitate him. I think it is a worthy cause and would like to help give those people affected by these traumatic life changing injuries a fighting chance at a fulfilling life.
