We are living in a time when equity and justice work are under attack. Support for Black-led movements has grown quieter, and many of the same people who once said they stood for justice have pulled back out of fear, pressure, or shifting political winds.

Over the past few years, our organization, like many justice-centered movements, has faced dramatic funding challenges while continuing the essential work that uplifts, protects, and educates our communities. Meanwhile, the communities we serve cannot pull back. Victims of discrimination, police misconduct, unsafe housing, and economic inequity still contact us needing help. They live this injustice every single day. And we are still here for them.

Even with fewer resources.

Even when it’s hard.

Even when it feels like the world wants us silent.

For 10 years, AADM has been a safe place for people who had nowhere else to turn when their civil or human rights were violated. A place where someone will listen. A place where families can find support. A place where justice still feels possible.

But today, it’s becoming harder to serve the people who need us most.

With limited resources between January 2024 and August 2025, AADM:

Served 411 individuals through 490 touchpoints
Delivered $3,216.50 in direct support to incarcerated community members
Helped stabilize 75 families facing housing crises
Empowered 85+ minority-owned businesses
Developed 55 women through leadership and wellness initiatives

And we can do so much more with your contribute.
