AB617 Communities are designated by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) as environmentally-impacted and digitally-disadvantaged California neighborhoods. The AB617 Communities Empowerment Initiative empowers digitally-disadvantaged communities to achieve Digital Equity through extensive outreach in-language and in-culture, to connect residents to the Internet with an affordable service.

Today, access to a computer is not a luxury; it is a necessity. It is the gateway to employment opportunities, education, healthcare, and financial stability. Without it, families are left behind.

With your support, CETF can ensure that every household that completes Digital Literacy Training receives a computer of its own. This critical step allows participants to immediately apply what they’ve learned—searching for jobs, attending online classes, accessing telehealth services, and managing their finances with confidence.

Our goal is to raise $300,000 across the 5 AB617 communities to provide 1,000 households with refurbished devices and protective covers, at a cost of $300 per household.
