We are Mariana and Mel. We’re sisters, we’re Latinas, and we’re Educated Hermanaz. Our mission is to expand opportunities for Latinas, to break stereotypes, and limitations that have been placed on Latinas, and to push into spaces where we don’t “belong.”

And we need your help! 

On July 17 Mariana and I will overcome 24 fears- 12 fears each in 24 days ending on Mariana's 27th Birthday- August 9th; supported by the Acevedo Foundation. We will be given 24 hours to complete each fear. The following day the video with the fear conquered will be posted across all of our channels- Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook.

We are taking this challenge not only as a way to redefine our image within and outside of our community but also to create tangible opportunities for fellow Latinas. By providing financial help, which is often a barrier, they will become a step closer to challenge themselves to pursue an experience that will enhance their career such as research for STEM, study abroad, take a masterclass, or even get a real estate license.

One of the biggest problems we continue to face as Latinas is the lack of available resources to pursue and enhance our careers to seek diverse opportunities.
