Mission
We encourage everyday people within the Black community to contribute their time, talent, and resources to help sustain Black-led, Black-serving nonprofits and community efforts.
We are hosting a $40,000 fundraiser for Black-led youth development initiatives to celebrate our founder's 40th birthday and her deep history in youth development. A portion of funds will support two youth mentoring programs - The Academy 365 and SheWins! Another portion will support Act Black's Founder's Fund, a mini grant program for early stage Black-led nonprofits. Visit the page below to learn more about each effort and donate.
Our Why:
Black-led organizations receive less than 2% of funding from major foundations but they are often lifelines that transform lives within our community. Historically, despite external forces, our community has pooled resources to sponsor solutions that help move us forward.
