Acura was a long-haired black kitten who spent two days trapped in the undercarriage of a car in North Philadelphia — scared, alone, and in pain. When she was finally rescued, the full extent of her suffering became clear: she had a painful abscess on her belly extending out to her side, leaking pus, along with a broken femur that the vet team believed would require amputation.

Familiar Hearts Animal Society stepped in to save her, rushing her straight to VEG, where their team jumped into action to stabilize her and start her on the road to recovery.

Unfortunately, once the team at VEG were able to fully assess her injuries, they determined that her wounds were too severe, and that the kindest option was to let her go. Acura passed peacefully, knowing love and care in her final moments.
