Hello friends!

As co-founder of Adapt-Able Foundation, obviously I am very passionate about our mission of bringing the adaptive and able-bodied communities together to help people with challenges discover the magic of Scuba!

We are a 100% volunteer nonprofit supported solely through your generous donations and this is your invitation to support our mission in our Annual Lockup Fundraiser! Help me raise my bail, as I have a warrant for my arrest for “sharing my passion for the life-changing benefits of Scuba to everyone!”

As a disabled veteran and mother of a child with cognitive challenges I have personally experienced so many benefits of Scuba and as a bonus, the inclusion and acceptance of the Scuba community! These experiences have created a strong drive in me to encourage and share all this magic with others with challenges, and people who wish to help!

Do you know about the myriad of benefits people who conquer Scuba experience and the impact this has on the individual and the community and the world? The freedom of neutral buoyancy - floating in the cozy blanket of water helps both physically and mentally.

Physically, the lack of gravity, relaxation, and increased mobility has pain relieving benefits! The mental benefits from the ability to focus without all of the distractions from our daily worlds, combined with the self-confidence and independence derived from conquering fears and mastering unique skills is life-changing! And, don’t forget the spiritual benefits from the experience of being one with the ocean and participating in a whole new environment!

All of this, and more, that less than 1% of the US population have succeeded in as certified Scuba divers! Just these factors can change lives of participants and their circle of friends and family!

Ultimately, Adapt-Able Foundation’s mission is about more than just Scuba diving. Its about promoting a more inclusive and equitable society where people of all abilities have the opportunity to participate fully and thrive! By providing access to Scuba diving and promoting accessibility and inclusion more broadly, we are helping to create a more just and inclusive world for all!
