As the founder of AGAPE Family Care Group, the mission to love as Christ's loves and defend the fatherless isn't just professional—it's deeply personal. Growing up, I watched my mother carry the silent wounds of foster care, rarely speaking of the years from age 11 onward when she lost her own mother and found herself in a home where love was conditional and criticism constant. Those sparse but painful stories—of a young girl made to feel less than, of favoritism that cut deep, of a foster mother's actual daughter receiving the warmth that should have been shared—planted seeds in my soul that would bloom into AGAPE. Through 14 years as a teacher and school leader, and time working with struggling adults. I witnessed again and again how a child's home environment shapes everything: their decision-making, their ability to learn, their very capacity to hope. Every child who couldn't focus, every adult still carrying childhood trauma—they all pointed to the same truth: children need homes where the heart is truly for them - AGAPE love that defends, protects, and never fails.

Repairing the Breach This Holiday Season

Today, AGAPE stands as what God revealed to me in Isaiah 58:12, a "repairer of the breach"—a restoration of what's been broken in the lives of children in foster care. Guided by the unconditional love described in 1 Corinthians 13 and the biblical mandate in Isaiah 1:17 to defend the fatherless, this agency works tirelessly to ensure that each child experiences the unconditional love that defends them.
