There’s a lot of talk about AI right now, and it can be hard to separate what’s useful from what’s hype. If you work at a nonprofit, you may already be using it, you may be wary of it, or you may be somewhere in between. All of those are reasonable places to start.

Please join Cory Garfin from SCL CPTL for a hands-on session designed for people at any level of AI familiarity. We’ll look at what AI is actually good at, where it falls short, and the concerns that come up in this sector: trust, privacy, values, environmental cost, and what funders expect. You’ll see the kinds of work where it saves time, like drafting, summarizing, and organizing. You’ll also learn what to put in an AI policy, so your team isn’t running on “anything goes.” Then you’ll try it on a real task from your own work and leave with a plan for what to do next.

No experience needed. Before the session, we’ll send a short survey about how you’re using AI now, so we can shape the time around your questions.
