This January, Youth Ambassadors of Service (YAS) invites you to help build A Mentored Future, one where young people are trusted with real responsibility and supported by meaningful mentorship.

As a youth-founded, youth-led, and youth-focused organization, YAS believes the future isn’t something young people wait for; it’s something they actively shape. During National Mentoring Month, this campaign brings together our commitment to youth leadership and the mentors who make that leadership possible. At YAS, mentorship is not a one-time interaction; it is sustained, hands-on, and embedded in every program we run.

This campaign fuels the next 1–3 years of mentorship-driven growth as we expand access to service-learning, career exploration, and leadership opportunities for young people nationwide. Our students are already leading community initiatives, managing nonprofit internships, and building solutions to real challenges. With your support, we can ensure they are never doing this work alone.

Your gift supports:

Expanded mentorship access through an online community platform, regional hubs, and new training pathways connecting students with mentors, service opportunities, and career networks nationwide.
Stronger leadership pipelines with stipended student leadership roles, board mentorship, alumni engagement, and a new Parent Council that strengthens intergenerational support.
Professional development opportunities, including $500 higher-education scholarships, $5,000 conference scholarships, summer programs, and student ambassador initiatives that elevate youth voices.
Sustainable infrastructure by hiring part-time staff, strengthening financial and digital systems, and building internal AI tools—freeing mentors and students to focus on growth, learning, and impact.

Throughout National Mentoring Month, A Mentored Future will also power storytelling campaigns, mentoring events, service projects, and celebrations like I Am a Mentor Day and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service—showcasing the real relationships behind youth leadership.
