A Mother’s Love’s Gems & Gents Leadership Program needs your help to unlock bright futures for deserving young minds! We're embarking on a transformative College Tour Fall 2026, visiting renowned Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country. This immersive experience will open doors to educational opportunities, cultural awareness, and a vibrant network of support for our program’s exceptional students.

The Schools On This Tours List:

Tuskegee University
Alabama State University
Alcorn State University
Jackson State University

Our inaugural College Tour in 2024 was a transformative experience for 6 of our Gems. They visited 6 HBCUs in Atlanta and South Carolina, gaining firsthand insights into the unique culture and academic opportunities offered by these institutions. From engaging with professors and current students to immersing themselves in Greek life, alumni events, and dorm life, our students had a truly unforgettable experience. They even attended a thrilling HBCU Battle of the Bands at a University of South Carolina football game. To round out their journey, they explored historical and cultural sites in each city, broadening their horizons and deepening their appreciation for history and diversity.

Last year, we journeyed to Virginia and Washington, D.C., with ten Gems + Gents to explore a variety of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), ranging from top-rated institutions to smaller, hidden gems. Our students had the opportunity to engage with current scholars and alumni while visiting iconic historical landmarks and participating in local cultural activities.

After two great years, we are excited to expand our 2026 College Tour program. We want to reach more students and show them the brotherhood, sisterhood, and high-quality education found at HBCUs. By growing this program, we are giving our youth more opportunities to see what they can achieve in the future.

Each Gem & Gent needs to raise $2,000 to make their HBCU College Tour dream a reality. Imagine the impact:

Exposure to world-class academics and diverse perspectives at prestigious HBCUs.
Building confidence and leadership skills through campus tours, workshops, and mentorship.
Connecting with a thriving community of Black excellence and forging lifelong friendships.
Gaining invaluable insights into college life and career paths.

Your generous contribution, no matter the size, can make a world of difference. By supporting a child's journey to an HBCU, you're investing in their future, fostering their academic aspirations, and paving the way for success.
