The Anchors + Rappelling Clinic was born from a simple but powerful truth: so many climbers—especially women and genderqueer climbers—are strong on the wall, but held back by the technical skills that make outdoor climbing truly accessible.

We’ve all seen it (or lived it). The hesitation at the top of a route. The uncertainty around building an anchor. The reliance on someone else to get down safely. Not because the ability isn’t there—but because the opportunity to learn hasn’t been.

At She Sends, we believe that knowledge is empowerment.

This clinic is designed to change that.

Anchors + Rappelling isn’t just about knots, gear, and systems—it’s about confidence. It’s about giving climbers the tools to move independently and safely in outdoor spaces. It’s about transforming “I’m not sure I can” into “I know exactly what to do.”

Through this clinic, participants learn how to build safe, reliable anchors and rappel with confidence—skills that unlock an entirely new level of freedom in climbing. But beyond the technical instruction, something deeper happens: climbers begin to trust themselves.

Learning Outcomes

Participants can expect to leave with:

A working knowledge of essential climbing equipment for building anchors + setting up for rappel
Practice building and cleaning common single-pitch anchor systems
The ability to set up and execute a rappel safely
Meaningful connections with other climbers excited about transitioning from indoor to outdoor climbing

Continued Practice + Private Guiding

Progress in climbing comes from consistent practice and time on the rock. Many climbers benefit from continued support after an introductory clinic.

If you're looking to keep building skills, confidence, and independence—whether that’s leading, multi-pitching, projecting, or refining movement (or anything else)—consider booking a private guiding session with a She Sends instructor. These sessions are tailored to your goals and pace.

Location

This clinic will take place at a sport climbing area in Jefferson County or Boulder County, Colorado.
Final location details will be sent via email from your guide approximately 1–2 weeks before the clinic.

Locations are selected based on weather, conditions, and the needs of the group.
