Equine Aid's founders, Doug Arneson and I, have been waylaid this year by his heart surgery and the challenge to rehabilitate. We have not been fully available to attend to our normal responsibilities. In my case that includes not holding any events or fundraisers. Now, in our 25th year, we are struggling to cover our expenses.

Our devoted Volunteer Crew and Board of Directors have continued all the care of our animals and maintained the herds in every way. A big, complex job that doesn't allow time for taking on more responsibilities. Doug is now doing better and I am very concerned about the funds we need for hay.

A major requirement for the herds (Donkeys and Horses) is a good hay supply for the winter. Please consider bidding in our auction or donating. We love/need to have that reassuring sense that comes from having a barn full of hay. We are fortunate to know a reliable farmer who sells us 800 pound big bales at a reasonable price.
