This summer marks 20 years since the passing of Murray Bookchin, the founding theorist of social ecology. We will be gathering in late August in Plainfield, Vermont to celebrate Bookchin’s wide ranging contributions to social theory, popular movements, municipal politics, environmental design and other key areas of influence. We’ve invited a wide array of speakers who’ve written about Bookchin’s contributions and brought the principles of social ecology into various social movements.

The gathering will be held over the weekend of August 28-30 on the the former campus of Goddard College in Plainfield, and we look forward to a dynamic weekend of learning, discussion and enjoying the height of late Vermont summer.
