Known for featuring the region’s best musical ensembles, as well as giving local singers, songwriters, and writers a chance to build community through their art, this monthly gathering offers a listener-friendly open mic opportunity and welcoming environment for folks to listen and perform.

Featured Performer:

Mauro Gutierrez, from Buenos Aires Argentina, and Chelsea Ottman Rak, Bemidji native, first met in a small mountainous village in Honduras where there wasn't much to do in the evenings. Luckily they borrowed an acoustic guitar and passed the time teaching each other their favorites and learning new songs together. Both come from musical families: Chelsea's grandpa was in a barbershop quartet and Mauro's grandpa played tango. They're a duo for now, until their children are old enough to pick up instruments themselves to complete the band. We hope you enjoy their fusion of rock, folk, blues and soul as much as they do. Viva la música!

We are committed to offering arts access for everyone, making scholarships available to youth and adults. As a non-profit, we receive support not only from program tuition but from arts organization grants, state agencies, and donations from community members.
