Arnold Galpern was a beloved husband, father, thinker, provider, mentor, friend, environmentalist, birder, hiker, tennis player, naturalist, cyclist, chess player, classical music aficionado, and citizen whose commitment to truth, knowledge, democracy, history, and progress touched many around him.
