Artful Start: Back to School is a free community event that provides Escondido families with the tools they need to begin the school year with confidence, creativity, and care. We’ll be giving away free school supplies, art materials, and haircuts to local students—plus offering fun and engaging activities for the whole family.

This page is a fundraiser to make that event possible.
Every dollar you give goes directly toward supplies, materials, and services for local kids.

Whether it’s a backpack full of pencils and paint or a fresh haircut that makes a student feel their best on day one, your support makes a direct impact.

Hosted by the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Foundation, this event reflects our mission to bring people together to discover, create, and celebrate the visual and performing arts. We believe that the arts are for everyone, and that access, equity, and community support are essential to student success.
