In response to the given crisis in our homeland, the AYF-YOARF Central Executive has launched an initiative to provide supplies to the school-aged children that have been displaced from their homes in Artsakh.

The Central Executive will be collecting donations to purchase backpacks filled with school supplies and will distribute these packs throughout Armenia to the displaced Artsakh youth. These backpacks will include all essentials to help alleviate these students' transition to starting school in Armenia.

A donation of $50 will sponsor supplies for one student, and the Central Executive has set out a Round 1 goal of $25,000 to sponsor 500 students. Upon reaching this goal, future rounds will be announced to continue providing additional support to those children that have still not received supplies.

As the Youth Organization of the ARF, the Central Executive finds it important and necessary to support our fellow youth of Artsakh, and ensure that we maintain their access to education through these extremely difficult times of our nation's history.

🚨CAMPAIGN UPDATE🚨 - 12/17/2023

On December 17th, through the AYF-YOARF Eastern Region “Sponsor a Student” initiative, more than 50 Juniors from different regions of Artsakh gathered in the ARF Aram Manukyan Youth Center in Yerevan.

During the program, the youth had the opportunity to get to know each other, play, sing, and taste Artsakh dishes. A group of members of the ARF Youth Organization of Armenia also participated in the program.

At the end of the gathering, each Junior was given a backpack filled with school supplies. As we know, integrating into Armenia has been difficult for many of these children, as many only brought their most crucial belongings. The Sponsor a Student initiative has helped to ease one aspect of this transition and ensured that these children from Artsakh will not have their quality of education compromised.

The Juniors of Artsakh also received a message from the New Jersey “Arsen” Junior chapter wishing them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Under these new conditions, the ARF Artsakh Youth Organization proposes to become a new platform to unite the youth of Artsakh and to create a familiar and comfortable atmosphere for them. The AYF Eastern Region is eager and committed to continually support the work that they do.

Future deliveries of backpacks and supplies will be made in the near future. We hope we can continue to count on your support for this extremely vital initiative.
