Yet today, far too many gifted students in Charlotte’s underserved neighborhoods lack access to quality art programs, materials, and mentorship.

At The Society, Inc. – Greater Charlotte Chapter, we’ve spent 42 years ensuring that art education isn’t a privilege, but a right. Here’s what we know:

- Students engaged in structured art classes

• Develop critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

• Build self-esteem and resilience through personal expression

• Achieve academic gains—arts-immersed learners score up to 18% higher on standardized ELA and math exams

- High-quality workshops and master classes led by professional artists

• Expose students to diverse techniques and mediums

• Create pathways to scholarships, internships, and creative careers

- Hands-on art education fosters stronger communities

• Cultivates empathy and cross-cultural understanding

• Transforms local spaces with murals, performances, and exhibitions

Our Goal: Raise $5,000 to underwrite:

1. Art classes for 200+ students

2. Supplies — canvases, paints, clay, digital art tools

3. Annual “Young Creators” master classes and portfolio reviews
