Help Build a Foundation for Life

Athlete4Life is HB Foundation’s youth athletic development program designed to help young people build the physical foundation, knowledge, confidence, and character that can support them both in sport and in life.

The “4Life” in Athlete4Life has an intentional meaning. It doesn't simply mean being an athlete forever. It means developing athleticism for life—using movement, training, sport, and the lessons that come with them as tools to help young people build and support the lives ahead of them.

That idea reflects the larger mission behind HB Foundation: A Foundation for Life.

Young athletes spend countless hours practicing their individual sports, but they don't always have the same opportunity to intentionally develop the physical qualities that support them as athletes as a whole. Athlete4Life was created to help provide that foundation.

Rather than specializing in one sport, Athlete4Life focuses on developing the athlete as a whole. Through age-appropriate training and education, participants develop movement foundations, mobility and stability, coordination, speed, power, strength, conditioning, athletic skills, and other physical qualities that can transfer across sports and everyday life.

But the program goes beyond physical development.

Through training, we also have opportunities to teach effort, consistency, teamwork, respect, confidence, resilience, healthy habits, and self-awareness. Our goal is not simply to help young people jump higher, run faster, or become stronger. We want to use those experiences to help them learn about themselves, challenge themselves, work with others, and develop skills they can carry beyond sport.

Your Support Makes Athlete4Life Possible

HB Foundation is committed to making quality training and education accessible to families in our community. Athlete4Life is currently offered on a donation-based model, allowing families to participate regardless of their ability to pay a traditional training fee.

Donations help support coaching, equipment, facility expenses and maintenance, assessments, educational resources, and the continued development of Athlete4Life programming.

There is no required donation amount. Whether you are a participating family, friend, community member, or simply believe in what we are building, every contribution helps us create more opportunities for young people to move, learn, train, and grow.

Because ultimately, Athlete4Life isn't just about building better athletes. It's about using athletic development to help build a stronger foundation for life.
