Many things have changed during the pandemic, but the need for customized support and programming for those living with autism has not. In fact, support and opportunities are needed now more than ever. Your participation in AutismUp's ninth annual KiteFlite fundraiser will ensure that critical skill building opportunities for growth continue.
The race to raise $120,000 in 120 days is on! If you value the support and opportunities provided by AutismUp, you can help by making a donation to your favorite team OR click "Fundraise" and form a KiteFlite team! Share your fundraiser with friends and family to let them know you're helping to lift families with autism up! Earn tickets and prizes along the way! We'll culminate the race with a kite parade and family fun day at Seabreeze on August 15!

AutismUp is a grass-roots, not-for-profit organization started by four mothers of children with autism 17 years ago in 2004. These moms were frustrated by the lack of quality programs and support services available to their families. With grit and determination, these moms took matters into their own hands. These parents were determined to fill in the service, program and support gaps for children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In step with the alarming increase of the ASD diagnosis among children, AutismUp quickly grew. What started as a support group, grew into a 2,700 family member organization that still, to this day, is run by parents of individuals with ASD.
Today, AutismUp aims to provide support to all individuals with autism across the ages -- support for families and children with autism that grow up into adulthood with autism. AutismUp aims to reach new heights in everything they do -- autism awareness, advocacy, education, direct programming and support. Most recently, AutismUp became a founding partner of the Golisano Autism Center where programs are run seven days per week in a state of the art, collaborative, and innovative Multi-Sensory Learning Environment. The next phase for AutismUp is adult services -- creating opportunities to live a full life for all the years after the bus stops coming.
Everyday, AutismUp supports thousands of families in the Greater Rochester and surrounding areas -- providing help for today, and hope for tomorrow. For more information, visit autismup.org. AutismUp is located at 50 Science Parkway, Rocheser, NY 14620.
