The Seeds to Leader Program (STL) is an exciting community initiative launched in 2018 to empower young people to grow their own food and shine as leaders in their neighborhoods! This vibrant program is tailored to meet the unique needs of youth, offering a rich tapestry of opportunities to develop gardening, cooking, and leadership skills.

$11 is the hourly rate for our entry-level Seed Crew. $2,400 covers the entire summer for one youth.

$50 covers annual supplies for each youth (notebooks, personal survival kits (hygiene products, bug spray, sunscreen, gloves, etc)

$150 covers one cooking class for all the students

STL features a dynamic curriculum that guides participants through every gardening step, from planting seeds to harvesting fruits and veggies. Young gardeners explore essential topics such as soil preparation, nurturing plants, managing pests, and composting! Plus, they get to dive into cooking and nutrition, which helps them appreciate the importance of healthy eating in a fun and engaging way.

Moreover, STL fosters an inclusive and supportive atmosphere, ensuring that all youth in the community feel welcome. It’s a fantastic space for learning, personal growth, and friendship, where young leaders can build confidence and hone their skills.
