Colorado Gives Day is an annual statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. Colorado Gives Day unites all Coloradans in a common goal to strengthen the state’s nonprofits by giving to their favorite charities online.

Did you know that this past July, the US Departments of State and Travel issued a joint statement showing their renewed commitment to international education? They did this because in today’s modern world international education is of significant importance. Studying abroad provides students personal growth, global connections, and global/cultural knowledge, all of which can be applied to a global workplace.

Blessed to Be a Blessing was created to provide these opportunities to those less likely to experience them. Our goal is to close the opportunity gap in our secondary education system and create more opportunities for low-income and underrepresented students to receive an international education.

We do this through educational programs and scholarships. Our flagship program is the Global Access Passport (GAP) program. This program teaches students the ins and outs of international travel and studying abroad and provides a passport enabling them to do so one day. In addition, we will soon implement study abroad 101 and international travel 101 programs to increase the awareness and knowledge of these subjects. Finally, as studying abroad is expensive, we will soon be providing scholarships at the college level.

Join us this Colorado Gives Day and throughout December as we aim to raise $10,000 to provide passports, education, and scholarships to DPS and APS students. No gift is too small, and every dollar helps. Remember, we are all Blessed to Be a Blessing, and let's pass those blessings today!
