Lock-Up to Lift-Up is B3I’s entrepreneurship reentry program supporting justice impacted individuals who are rebuilding their lives and working toward economic stability. Returning home comes with real barriers, employment gaps, limited access to resources, and a lack of supportive networks. Lock-Up to Lift-Up exists to remove obstacles and provide a structured path to ownership and self-sufficiency.

Participants receive entrepreneurship education, mentorship, and practical coaching to develop a business idea into a plan they can act on. The program also supports the personal and professional readiness that helps participants stay consistent, build confidence, and move forward with clarity. Program support includes:

Entrepreneurship training, business basics, customer discovery, pricing, and operations
Mentorship and coaching, guidance from experienced leaders and trusted community support
Business planning support, turning ideas into step-by-step action plans
Pitch and readiness preparation, building confidence to present and pursue opportunities
Wraparound encouragement, helping participants stay grounded and focused during reentry
