Wise Womb (wisewomb.org) is dedicated to reducing the mistreatment of women of color in hospitals by funding onsite doulas at live births. Women of color, in areas like Bronx and Harlem, are up to 8X as likely to have medical complications including perineal tears, C-sections, breech babies, as their white counterpart. Maternal and infant mortality rate is on the rise in New York City; we are working to keep it down.

Please help us. The cost of having a doula present for a birth is about $1,000. We are looking to fund 6 doulas for underprivileged mammas.

The remaining funds will go toward our education part of the mission. We are committed to providing free access to education in order to combat the rising cases of endometriosis, PMDD, PCOS, ovarian cysts, in women's health. All live classes are available for replay in the Wise Womb Library.
