Let's  get straight to the point.

We are 3 friends/creatives trying to be the solution we can't seem to find.

Displacement and homelessness for POC, LGBTQIA, Creatives and low income folk is at an all time high.

So many have experienced displacement and discrimination more times than they can count. The pressure of trying to find affordable housing during a pandemic while trying to create or produce art/music is beyond taxing when creativity is your career.

The Bay Area is profusely losing creatives to cheaper housing in other states with lower running costs

In SFGate, one study estimated that somebody must make more the $110K to live comfortably in the bay area, and that’s not conducive to a thriving art scene.

• 80% of the Bay Area scene do not yet have a plan to recover from the crisis
• 36% of Bay Area artists had savings to cover three months of expenses prior to COVID-19, and only 20% do now
• 28% Bay Area artists had no savings prior to COVID-19, and 53% have no savings now.
• We have lost numerous sub culture venues such as , Slim's, The Stork Club, The Uptown and The Stud to name a few and more to come.
• 80% report a decline in revenue-generating creative productivity
• 66% say they can't access supplies/resources/spaces/people necessary for their creative work
• Property MGMNT companies require payroll stubs and proof of income to even be considered for an apt. How can you provide that if you haven't been working due to covid? Some folks don't even qualify for unemployment so where are they supposed to get housing? And still no mercy.
• 28,000 homeless people are in the Bay Area and rising due to a lack of low income housing and overwhelmed housing shelters and programs

Plant the first seed: our flagship location of The Music Menagerie

We have found a mixed-use piece of land in Vallejo, CA that holds a warehouse space with living quarters attached. 0.65 acres of land that will allow us to place 16-18 additional shipping containers that will be converted in to living and creative spaces. In addition to whole slew of raised garden beds for year-round community supported agriculture, and all the creative space our community would need to produce as well as showcase their works of art. That includes you!

This space WILL be a place to gather, heal, learn from one another and rebuild.

The best part is, we want to open a Music Menagerie in other cities. Because every city needs one!

The property is selling for $700k. We have 75 days to raise $100,000 for the downpayment + initial expenses such as materials, permitting and inspections.

This place is going to happen. We have claimed it and announcement  to the universe that this place is ours. This is a decade in the making all we need are funds from EVERYONE. Sarge has 5k followers on Facebook alone. If each person gave $20 we could make this happen almost instantly.
