An opportunity to carry on my Dad's legacy and continue his fight by raising awareness, supporting those battling, and bringing community together to fight alongside and be in solidarity with those battling. My Dad always talked about how the hardest thing for him was seeing other's coming to treatments alone and having no support system. We want to change that, and make sure no one is fighting alone!

The idea started when my Dad as battling cancer and going through chemo treatments. As my Dad's cancer progessed, I watched as he would go to his appointments, spend all day there, enduring the mental and physical pain it brought. I knew I couldn't let him feel like he was alone in that fight, so I seeked for ways that I could join and be in solidarity with him. For whatever round of chemo he was on, I would run equivalent to that in miles out in front of the building. I found this strong connection with his battle through running. Though miniscul in comparison, both mentally and physically demanding. It was a way for me to catch a glimpse of the fight he was enduring every single day. And most importantly a way to make sure he didnt feel like he was alone in his fight.

Now I want to do the same for others. Each month I will be doing this at a different cancer hospital. Starting regionally with hopes that as this grows we can travel and have people from those cities come and join. Raising awareness and donating care packages along the way. A $25 donation allows us to donate a care package.

Ultimately I want this to build a community showing support and fighting in solidarity. So come on out and join us for 1 mile or all 26.
