At Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity, we build homes because we envision a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to live. Together with volunteers and future homeowners, we're not just building houses—we're empowering lives and creating communities.

How can I help?

This year, in addition to rolling up our sleeves and volunteering, we need your help to lay down the foundation of hope, one room at a time. The cost to build the average Habitat for Humanity home is $160,000. The cost for each room is broken down into simpler categories as such:

Bedroom (each): $19,200
Bathroom (each): $8,000
Living Room: $35,200
Dining Space: $28,800
Kitchen: $24,000
Garage: $44,800
