This community event is dedicated to supporting local students and families as they prepare for a successful school year by providing bookbags, school supplies, educational resources, health information, community resources, and services.

Jefferson Park Ministries (JPM) serve immigrant families and youth by implementing services and programs that address the needs and improves lives by promoting empowerment and the ability to manage day to day activities.

Haitian Flag Day Planning Committee of New Jersey, Inc. (HFDPCNJ) d/b/a Kilti Lakay empowers the Haitian diaspora through culturally enriched educational programming.

Volunteer Opportunity

We are seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with event setup, registration and check-in, school supply distribution, children's activities, vendor and community partner support, crowd flow, hospitality, and event breakdown. Volunteers play an essential role in creating a welcoming and culturally affirming experience for families throughout the day. To ensure all volunteers are prepared and informed, participation in one of the two volunteer information sessions is strongly encouraged:

Volunteer Information Session #1:

Wednesday, August 12, 2026 | 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Virtual)

Volunteer Information Session #2:

Thursday, August 13, 2026 | 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Virtual)

During these sessions, volunteers will receive an overview of the event, review volunteer roles and responsibilities, discuss logistics and safety procedures, and have an opportunity to ask questions.
