The Challenge We Face

At the very moment they need guidance the most — when federal programs are shifting, state policies are in flux, and the future is unknown — trusted, neutral voices are at risk of disappearing for good.

Since 2018, we have helped dozens of communities — large and small, urban and rural — move from broadband questions to action: through education, coaching, peer connections, and support.

We’ve built this movement quietly but with impact:

Supporting multiple communities through local ownership, partnerships, and funding decisions.
Providing connection and momentum through our Spring Summit, webinars, and information-sharing.
Keeping our services and events as low-cost as possible so that every community can participate equally.

But we are at risk. Funding cuts and shifting tides have left CBAN exposed. Without renewed support, the work we provide could be diminished, at the exact moment communities need it most.

For years, CBAN has served as the essential bridge communities cross when exploring local control options for internet service. We're the trusted guide that walks alongside communities from their first question about local broadband to the moment they flip the switch on their own network.

We're launching our first-ever fundraising campaign with an ambitious goal: $100,000 to solidify our operations and continue to evolve to meet our members' expanding needs.
