In 2027, Beautiful As I Am will return to Kenya with a clear purpose: to create opportunities that continue long after our team returns home.

Our work in Kenya focuses on girls and women who live in communities where access to education, career preparation, life skills, and income-generating opportunities can be limited. We believe lasting change happens when women and girls receive practical tools they can use to build stronger futures for themselves and their families.

We have already seen what is possible.

During our previous work in Kenya, Beautiful As I Am supported women through sewing skills training. Six women participated in the program, gaining a skill they could use to generate income. The program grew beyond simply teaching women how to sew. It created an opportunity for women to contribute financially to their households, and the women were able to secure work producing school uniforms.

Kenya 2027 will build on that foundation.

What We Will Do

Our 2027 mission will focus on helping girls and women develop practical skills, confidence, and opportunities that can improve their lives.

Our work will include:

Life and social skills education for girls and women
Entrepreneurship and small business training
Financial literacy and money management
Career and workforce readiness
Leadership and confidence-building experiences
Mentoring and personal development
Practical learning experiences that connect lessons to real life
Continued investment in opportunities that help women create sustainable income

Our goal is to help women and girls gain knowledge, skills, resources, and opportunities they can continue using after we leave.
