The Bark Park is not a municipal or state park!

The Bark Park was founded in 1997 by Clark Hatch, a local businessman, philanthropist, and dog lover who negotiated with the State of Hawai'i to create a place for dogs (and their humans) to run, play, and socialize.

While free and open to the public, the Bark Park has been privately operated on individual donations and maintained by volunteers for nearly three decades.

We need your help to stay open.

Our operating costs include the land lease, water bill, insurance, grounds and equipment maintenance, yard work, plumbing, complimentary litter bags, and more. We humbly ask that if you and your furry friends find benefit from the Bark Park, please consider making a one-time, or monthly, tax deductible donation.

Without the support of our community, this special dog park will cease to exist.
