Our Mission

Across the Lehigh Valley, there are veterans who once stood ready to defend our nation who are now facing housing insecurity, financial hardship, and the lasting, often invisible wounds of service. While our communities proudly recognize and honor veterans, the reality is that many continue to struggle with the transition back to civilian life.

For some, that transition includes navigating PTSD, job instability, rising housing costs, and a lack of accessible support systems. In a market where housing affordability continues to tighten, even short-term instability can quickly lead to long-term hardship. Veterans who have served with discipline and commitment can find themselves without the stability they need to rebuild.

This is not a distant issue—it is happening here in Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties.

Local organizations, including Battle Borne, are already working to address this challenge. Through its existing home in Easton, Pennsylvania, Battle Borne has demonstrated the direct impact that stable housing can have on a veteran’s ability to recover, refocus, and move forward. However, the demand for housing continues to exceed available capacity.

The Bring Our Veterans Home Initiative was created to meet that need.

Launched by the Sam Del Rosario Group at SERHANT. Pennsylvania in partnership with Battle Borne, this campaign is focused on raising the funds necessary to acquire and operate additional transitional housing for veterans in the Lehigh Valley.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide veterans with stability, dignity, and a path forward.

The housing created through this initiative will serve veterans who are:

• experiencing homelessness
• facing housing instability
• navigating the transition from military to civilian life
• working to overcome service-related challenges

This is more than housing—it is a foundation for recovery and opportunity. A stable living environment allows veterans to reconnect with employment, access support services, and rebuild their independence.

With the support of our community, local businesses, and committed donors, we will acquire a home that will serve as a safe and structured environment for veterans to regain stability and move forward with purpose.

Those who served our country should never have to question where they will sleep.

Together, we have the ability—and the responsibility—to ensure that every veteran in our community has a place to call home.
