Since the pandemic struck in March 2020, the Sexual Assault Resource Center has seen a steep rise in the need for our services; and our team is counseling more clients than ever in the history of our organization. We expect the needs of survivors will continue to rise this fall as students return to the area and the world resumes more in-person activities.

Our organization was recently notified of federal cuts totaling more than $260,000 for the year -- beginning September 1. This is a devastating loss and we need your help now more than ever. That amount creates a funding hole of more than 35 percent of SARC’s annual budget. Our biggest operating expense is the salaries of five counselors who assist hundreds of sexual assault survivors with thousands of counseling sessions annually. Please help us continue to operate and serve those who need us most.
