Four years ago the WJHS Theatre and WJHS TEC raised funds to replace our wireless microphone system, which was going to be illegal for us to use moving forward (and impossible to use due to interference regardless) due to action taken by the FCC.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to raise enough funds to purchase 24 wireless transmitters and receivers. Since then, this system has been used all over our school district, including EJHS, EJMS, WJMS, RDES, and more!

However, at the conclusion of our fundraiser, we did not have enough funds raised to purchase the accompanying headset microphones with the wireless transmitters and receivers.

Since then, our solution has been to rent microphones. This has led to many issues, ranging from receiving dead mics from the rental companies to other issues related to poor build quality, such as crackling and popping.

It's time for us to purchase high-quality, great sounding headsets of our own, so that students across our district can continue to be heard clearly, and so our student technicians can have fewer headaches while running our productions!
