A Joint Domestic Violence Resource & Celebration Luncheon

Join DIVINE 9 organizations Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated of Rutherford County for an afternoon of awareness, education, hope, and community action as we unite to support survivors of domestic violence.

Behind every closed door is a story. For far too many individuals, those stories include fear, isolation, and abuse. Behind Closed Doors: From Fear to Freedom seeks to bring those stories into the light by increasing awareness, connecting our community with vital resources, and inspiring action that can help break the cycle of domestic violence.

Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated brunch while hearing from a distinguished panel of professionals and community leaders who will share valuable information on domestic violence and sexual assault, including warning signs, current statistics, prevention strategies, available resources, and ways each of us can become advocates for safety and healing within our community.

Tickets are $40 per person.

If you are unable to attend, we invite you to make a $40 donation in support of this important initiative. Every contribution helps provide critical services and support for survivors.

100% of the proceeds will benefit the Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center serving Rutherford County, helping provide emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, crisis intervention, education, and other essential services for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault.

Community Service Initiative

As part of this event, we are asking attendees & supporter to participate in our "Buckets of Hope" essential items drive by donating a paint bucket filled with personal hygiene items. These donations will help replenish supplies for survivors and families as they begin new journeys toward independence and healing.

Soap & body wash
Toothbrushes & toothpaste
Deodorant
Feminine hygiene products
Lotion
Razors & shaving cream
Combs & brushes
Toilet paper
Facial tissue
Laundry detergent pods
Cleaning supplies
Baby wipes & diapers (optional)
