On NWSL Championship Saturday (November 21, 2026) at Audi Field, #SheBelongs is bringing together refugee & non-refugee teenage players in Washington, DC — to screen our films, play the game, meet the pros, sit across the table from the people who write laws that affect women, and stand together to celebrate women's soccer at the NWSL Championship.

The Day

A single day in DC, built around the same idea that anchors every #SheBelongs city: BELONGING is built by tirelessly showing up, boldly standing up, and fearlessly shining on the field, in the room, and for the moments that matter.

01. Documentary Screening

A screening of #SheBelongs' own documentary films, telling the story of refugee and non-refugee girls building a team — and a friendship — from the ground up. Full film details are in the supplemental materials.

02. Mini HOPE Cup

Small-sided HOPE Cup games with fully integrated refugee and non-refugee rosters — the model in miniature, played out on DC turf for a city full of first-time witnesses.

03. Advocacy on the Hill

Meetings and presentations with select local, state, and national government entities in town for the week — putting the Squad's story directly in front of the people who shape refugee and youth sport policy.

04. Meet & Greet

A meet and greet with professional women's soccer players — the kind of moment that turns "someday" into "I could actually do this" for every girl on the Squad.

05. NWSL Championship

The Squad attends the NWSL Championship at Audi Field together, with public recognition as the #SheBelongs Squad — closing the day the same way it opened: as one team, in front of everyone.
